Location: Remote - US, but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.

Salary: $141,520 - $208,000 (depending on location).

What you will do

• Build and own backend product capabilities for Stytch’s identity platform on hirify.global—shipping new API surfaces and core authentication flows, including agentic and non-human identity use cases.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable distributed services, optimizing for security, latency, and developer experience.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction, translate customer needs into technical plans, and deliver high-impact roadmap features.
• Collaborate across hirify.global and Stytch teams to align on architecture, integrate platform capabilities, and unblock cross-team initiatives.
• Improve production quality and resilience through strong observability, incident response and remediation.
• Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge-sharing, helping raise the team’s technical bar and culture.

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in designing, building and operating high-scale, mission critical cloud based production systems.
• Familiarity with a production-grade code base in a modern programming language, applying best practice coding standards and writing high quality code.
• Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Schedule: ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Go, Kubernetes, and DynamoDB
• Experience building developer tools and/or internal platforms that improve velocity and reliability.
• Experience designing and building highly reliable back end systems
