Senior Site Reliability Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Site Reliability Engineer: Maintaining and optimizing large-scale application deployments on the cloud with an accent on performance, scalability, and security. Focus on monitoring and troubleshooting, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes cluster debugging, and managing high-availability MySQL clusters.

Location: Hybrid (Barcelona or Madrid, Spain), with on-site work several days a week and remote work supported when it makes sense.

Salary: €60,500 – €70,000 annually (gross)

What you will do

• Keep the hirify.global application running 24/7, ensuring its performance, scalability, and security.
• Research and implement improvements to enable Product Engineers to develop new use cases.
• Take ownership of major initiatives, establishing goals and planning quarterly roadmaps.
• Review code, provide feedback, and contribute to an environment driven by engineering quality.
• Share knowledge through RFCs, pairing sessions, and mentoring.
• Debug issues and troubleshoot large-scale application deployments in cloud environments.

Requirements

• You have 8+ years of experience as a Software or Systems Engineer and at least 3 years as a Cloud SRE.
• Solid experience monitoring and troubleshooting large-scale application deployments on the cloud.
• Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience using public cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
• Ability to debug issues in a Kubernetes cluster and manage large MySQL clusters with HA configuration.
• You are comfortable communicating in English in a professional environment (B2 level required).
• You are a team player with a user-centric mindset and a passion for learning.

Nice to have

• Experience with Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
