SRE Engineer

TL;DR

SRE Engineer: Building a platform to enable autonomous management of datastores and cloud resources for experience teams, and scaling an observability stack with an accent on ensuring the stability and scalability of a Kubernetes cluster running hundreds of microservices. Focus on building self-service capabilities, experimenting with new stack elements, and optimizing observability with Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, and Tempo.

Location: Hybrid in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania. The role offers flexible working hours and remote work possibilities.

Salary: 4400 EUR/month (starting point)

What you will do

• Ensure that Experience teams can set up and manage their datastores autonomously.
• Build self-service solutions and introduce standards for Experience teams to manage their Cloud resources, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Look after and scale the observability stack, including Prometheus, Thanos, Grafanalabs Loki, and Grafanalabs Tempo.
• Experiment with new stack elements or services.
• Ensure that the Kubernetes cluster running approximately 400 microservices is stable and scalable.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with any datastore (preferably MongoDB, PostgreSQL, mySQL, Redis).
• Understanding and knowledge of IaaS (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Experience with building CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud services (any major cloud provider, preferably GCP).
• Good knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, Debian).
• Experience with Kubernetes.
