What you will do

• Optimize web server performance, request handling, and overall system efficiency using benchmarking.
• Configure, optimize, and extend Nginx, Apache, and LiteSpeed web servers.
• Maintain and enhance hirify.global core features like LVE (Lightweight Virtual Environment), MySQL Governor, and CageFS.
• Design and implement new resource limiting and isolation mechanisms.
• Lead technical initiatives, making proposals that change solutions and technical direction.
• Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, and establish engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in Python.
• Held senior/staff/principal engineering positions in previous roles.
• Deep knowledge and experience with Nginx, Apache, and/or LiteSpeed web servers.
• Strong Linux proficiency, including kernel internals, system calls, and optimization.
• Experience with resource limits, cgroups, namespaces, or similar resource management.
• English at an upper-intermediate level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to open-source projects or upstream codebases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
