TL;DR

Location: This role requires on-site presence at our office 4 days a week to support effective collaboration and teamwork.

What you will do

• Manage a small team of DBRE engineers, setting goals, delegating tasks, and providing mentorship.
• Establish and maintain effective operational processes, including incident management and root cause analysis.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the operational readiness of new products.
• Implement and enforce key SRE practices, such as SLI/SLO definition and error budget management.
• Optimize monitoring and alerting systems to ensure actionable alerting.
• Manage alerting processes and rotations, mitigating pager fatigue by continuously improving alert quality.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a Team Lead or similar leadership role in DBRE, DBA, or SRE positions.
• Experience managing operational processes and production incident resolution workflows.
• Experience operating mission-critical, high-availability systems.
• Solid understanding of building reliable MySQL DB clusters, including sharding, replication, and performance tuning.
• Administrator experience with MongoDB, including reliable configuration and performance tuning.
• Proficient command of Kubernetes (k8s).

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS managed database services, especially with MySQL.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Development skills in Python/Go (Middle Engineer level).
