TL;DR
Senior Frontend Engineer (Geospatial): Building and optimizing the future of our geospatial platform with an accent on interactive geospatial visualization, performance, scalability, and clean code practices. Focus on exploring and assessing new technologies, and developing proof-of-concept implementations to validate new functionality and experimental features.
Location: Hybrid in Braga, Portugal, requiring 3 days in office and offering flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week after successful onboarding.

What you will do
- Implement new features and enhancements focusing on interactive geospatial visualization.
- Maintain and improve the existing codebase, prioritizing performance, scalability, and clean code practices.
- Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to internal technical documentation.
- Explore and assess new technologies and techniques related to geospatial visualization and front-end performance.
- Develop proof-of-concept implementations to validate new functionality and experimental features.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with at least one geospatial visualization library such as DeckGL, Mapbox, React-Map-GL, OpenLayers, or Leaflet.
- Solid experience in the ReactJS ecosystem, including state management and component-based architecture.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and adaptable to evolving requirements.
- English: B2 required.
- Ability to come to the office for at least 3 days a week in Braga, Portugal.
