Backend Engineer

Location: Hybrid model, with majority of time spent in the Stockholm office.

What you will do

• Strengthen the developer experience and improve engineering productivity across the company.
• Accelerate the company’s shift from a legacy monolith to a modern, scalable service architecture.
• Design and build modern platform components, workflows, and integrations.
• Provide robust, reusable, best-practice tooling and infrastructure for Go-based backend services.
• Build and maintain a solid technology foundation for all backend teams.
• Own critical infrastructure components such as authentication systems, CDN, and caching.

Requirements

• Past experience with developing in Go.
• Experience as a heavy user of developer portals like Backstage or Port.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Adaptability & Resilience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive Problem-solving Mindset.
• Effective Collaboration & Cross-functional Communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), infrastructure as code, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or DevOps role.
• Experience with Python.
