Location: Hybrid work from our Malmö office. This role requires authorization to work in Sweden as it’s based in Sweden. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time, but we welcome applications from everyone eligible to work in the EU.

What you will do

• Take ownership of backend services and functionality, driving them from idea to production.
• Work closely with developers, product, and design to shape solutions early.
• Write high-quality backend code with a strong focus on clarity, performance, and maintainability.
• Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and continuous learning, while actively contributing to improving backend quality, performance, and maintainability - and supporting more junior developers through knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong experience building backend systems using Node.js and enjoy working with APIs, data flows, and business logic.
• Experience building backend solutions that are stable, scalable, and easy to reason about.
• Comfortable collaborating across the stack and understand how frontend applications consume APIs.
• Strong experience working with modern JavaScript and TypeScript in backend environments.
• Experience with AWS and DevOps practices like containerization and automated deployments.
• Comfortable expressing ideas and collaborating in English, both spoken and written.
