What you will do

• Build, optimize, and scale robust financial backend systems using Node.js and SQL (Postgres).
• Work primarily in backend, occasionally touching TypeScript, GraphQL, and React.
• Tackle complex coding problems, design new solutions, and refine existing systems.
• Contribute to system architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability of financial systems.
• Champion best practices, continuous learning, and drive improvements across codebase and product.
• Balance speed with quality to build lasting solutions that impact users.

Requirements

• Strong background in backend development with Node.js and SQL databases (preferably Postgres).
• At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in high-stakes environments like finance.
• Solid understanding of system design and architecture.
• Passion for solving complex backend problems with clean, pragmatic solutions.
• Work from office in Stockholm, Sweden four days a week.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Python, Go, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, or DevOps with Github Actions.
