What you will do

• Lead and grow a small team of Security Engineers through hiring, coaching, 1:1s, goal-setting, and performance management
• Build high-performance team culture emphasizing psychological safety, ownership, and AI-assisted workflows
• Own team outcomes against OKRs, technical direction for product security, vulnerability management, and incident response
• Shape security strategy, evolve tooling stack, evaluate trade-offs, and partner with Technical Leadership and Architecture
• Embed security in SDLC, bridge with Product Engineering, AI, Platform, Data teams, and communicate risks to stakeholders

Requirements

• 8+ years in application security, DevSecOps, or security engineering with hands-on depth
• Tech lead, team lead, or early management experience with desire to grow into engineering management
• Track record leading technical initiatives end-to-end
• Strong cloud security (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure transferable), security tooling (CNAPP/CSPM, SAST/DAST, etc.)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, AI security (LLM risks, adversarial testing)
• Active AI tool user (Claude, Copilot), metrics-driven outcomes, systems mindset, effective communication
