What you will do

• Develop and implement new gameplay features for a football manager simulation.
• Optimize and maintain server-side game logic to ensure high performance.
• Design and manage game data using PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with game designers and fellow developers to enhance overall gameplay.
• Ensure the scalability and reliability of the game server architecture.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Java development (Java 17+ preferred).
• Deep knowledge of distributed cache platforms such as Redis or Hazelcast.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency models, and memory management.
• Experience building CQRS or event-driven systems using Protobuf and gRPC.
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design and optimization.
• Experience building ETL pipelines for game analytics or state synchronization.

Nice to have

• Experience with SmartFoxServer 2X (SFS2X) extension development and API.
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD and automated build processes.
• Knowledge of AB-testing mechanics and feature-flagging in production.
• Experience with Game Economy systems, including hard/soft currency handling.
