What you will do

• Ship high-impact ML features across ranking, recommendations, retention, and revenue management to drive key business metrics.
• Accelerate experimentation and decision quality through A/B testing and hypothesis coverage.
• Ensure model reliability in production with monitoring, SLAs, and drift detection.
• Advance MLOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and retraining workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and solve business challenges using data science.
• Design and implement advanced statistical and ranking models, taking them from conception to production.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid in Munich, Germany with 50% office presence
• 4+ years experience as a Data Scientist applying ML to business problems.
• Degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• Strong skills in statistics, predictive modeling, machine learning, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with ranking models or recommender systems is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with Airflow and dbt is a plus.
• Comfortable using AI tools to enhance workflows and teach others.

Nice to have

• Experience with MLOps tools like MLflow and AWS SageMaker.
• Understanding of business operations and translating data insights into actionable outcomes.
