What you will do

• Architect and build personalization and recommendation stack end to end.
• Design algorithms modeling user preference and taste for style adaptation.
• Build curated feeds balancing exploration, personalization, and aesthetic coherence.
• Collaborate with model and research teams on personalization mechanisms for generative models.
• Contribute to personalized image generation research focused on style and subjective quality.
• Take systems from research and prototyping through production and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in San Francisco for on-site work
• Strong experience building recommendation systems or personalized feeds from scratch.
• Proven ability to design and ship high-quality curated content experiences.
• Experience with media-based personalization (image, video preferred).
• Solid foundations in machine learning, representation learning, and deep learning.
• Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale data systems and production ML infrastructure.
• Familiarity with diffusion models or generative image systems.
• Background in embeddings, similarity search, ranking, or aesthetic evaluation.
• Interest in creative tools, art, design, or generative media.
