Senior/Lead Backend Engineer (Kotlin/AWS): Developing and optimizing backend services for a SuperApp empowering real estate agents and mortgage brokers with an accent on code quality, product architecture, and scalable solutions. Focus on contributing to the codebase, leading by example in software development practices, and ensuring clear communication with product, design, and data teams.

Location: Hybrid in Dubai or Madrid, or remote anywhere in the EU. Relocation support is offered to Dubai or Madrid.

What you will do

• Contribute to the team’s codebase and take ownership of key technical deliverables.
• Drive best practices in software development, ensuring high standards of code quality and product architecture.
• Actively participate in technical challenges and lead the implementation of scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to ensure alignment on product goals.

Requirements

• Strong technical background with senior engineering experience.
• Passion for building high-quality products and solving complex technical challenges.
• Product-focused mindset with ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience with modern development practices, CI/CD, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative attitude.
