What you will do
- Set the technical direction and long-term architecture for distributed backend services and shared infrastructure.
- Drive alignment across Product, Compliance, and engineering squads to transform high-level organizational goals into actionable roadmaps.
- Migrate core logic out of Salesforce, ensuring zero downtime and data integrity during the transition.
- Evangelize engineering excellence by establishing org-wide standards for observability, reliability, and system health.
- Mentor other engineers and influence the broader organization, fostering a culture of technical rigor and collective ownership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, with deep expertise in Java, Kotlin, or Go.
- Proven success acting as a system designer for large-scale migrations, specifically unwinding monoliths into service-oriented architectures.
- Ability to navigate deep ambiguity, anticipating technical risks and bottlenecks before they impact delivery.
- Strong influence and leadership skills, capable of driving consensus on complex technical trade-offs with stakeholders across the company.
- Must be based in California (CA).
