What you will do

• Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for road and lane detection using multi-modal sensor data (camera, LiDAR, radar).
• Design and implement deep learning models for BEV self-driving architectures and integrate them into planning and control pipelines.
• Build efficient data processing pipelines including annotation, augmentation, and domain adaptation for large-scale sensor data.
• Deploy and optimize machine learning models on edge and automotive-grade hardware for real-time performance.
• Collaborate with robotics, software, and hardware teams to ensure seamless perception system integration.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the model development roadmap and technical leadership.

Requirements

• Must have 6+ years applied ML engineering experience or 3+ years with a Master’s degree in related fields in Autonomous Vehicle, Robotics, or related industry.
• Strong scientific understanding of machine learning for 3D BEV space modeling and production deployment.
• Expertise in lane and road geometry, multi-camera calibration, and sensor projection.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch with ability to transition research code to production standards.
• Experience analyzing data distributions and long tail distributions.
• Work location flexibility: remote or hybrid in US or Canada offices.

Nice to have

• PhD in machine learning or data science.
• Experience writing CUDA kernels and custom PyTorch operations.
• Publications in top-tier computer vision or ML conferences/journals.
• Experience with Ray for distributed training and large-scale ML experimentation.
