Software Engineer (AI, Vehicle Engineering)

Software Engineer (AI, Vehicle Engineering): Building and optimizing highly reliable and scalable artificial intelligence pipelines to empower engineers across all hirify.global departments with an accent on accelerating software development and testing, avionics design, flight data review, logistics, and mission operations. Focus on utilizing existing AI technologies, developing in-house solutions, setting up Large Language Models (LLMs) with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and training internal models on hirify.global data.

Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, CA. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), Refugee or Asylee, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Salary: $120,000.00 – $175,000.00/per year

What you will do

• Develop highly reliable and scalable artificial intelligence pipelines to empower engineers across all hirify.global departments.
• Create new AI applications that will revolutionize day-to-day operations for engineers.
• Build AI-driven data review tools.
• Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Own all aspects of AI software engineering and product development from initial prototyping.
• Deep dive into engineering problems to find efficient AI solutions and ensure accurate and reliable AI system output.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math or physics, OR 4+ years of professional software building experience.
• 1+ years of experience in AI software engineering, fullstack development, and data science.
• Programming experience in Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Experience building LLM RAG pipelines or fine-tuning LLM models.
• Experience training ML models for computer vision systems and working with PyTorch, Tensorflow, or similar.
• Experience with relational, non-relational, or vector databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Qdrant).
• Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on Linux systems.
• Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
