What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain the hirify.global platform software for massively-scalable global IoT deployments.
• Create self-healing software systems and develop concurrent, maintainable, and performant algorithms.
• Build, maintain, and refactor existing codebases, extend APIs, and improve test coverage.
• Work with profilers, benchmarking, state analysis tools, and leverage AI tools like Claude Code and GH Copilot.
• Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks and solve complex edge cases.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background (5+ years) with profound experience in architecting, developing, and delivering modern and robust backend applications running in a JVM.
• Experience developing and shipping business-relevant, reliable, and scalable software.
• Experience using Git, different testing approaches, and CI/CD tools.
• Ability to debug complex problems and design high-throughput data-intensive applications.
• Experience with different architectures, event-driven systems, and designing resilient inter-service communication (e.g., NoSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes, ArgoCD).
• Great interpersonal skills and a high sense of ownership to coordinate and work effectively in a team.
