What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud services for Data Platform services.
• Promote clear and simple software design while actively driving the team toward better practices.
• Support a true DevOps / CI/CD software delivery model.
• Promote high quality aimed at areas such as security, reliability, testability, and maintainability.
• Drive innovation by contributing new ideas for processes, tools, and technologies.
• Coach and mentor mid-level and junior staff.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience in enterprise-level, backend systems.
• Experience developing in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience working and supporting cloud-native workloads with Kubernetes, Docker, and container registries.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong experience with AWS services, including S3, DynamoDB, EC2, and Aurora.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and Git for source code version control.
• Experience designing features end-to-end, including rollout and monitoring.
• Accountability for the behavior of your software in production and experience working in an Agile team.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and to lead/drive projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with data transfer and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, NiFi, Kinesis.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Clickhouse.
• Experience with data file formats like Parquet and Avro, with Iceberg being a plus.
• Understanding of SQL scripting and procedures with relational databases.
• History of open-source contributions.
