What you will do

• Build a comprehensive understanding of the hirify.global architecture and contribute to its improvement plans.
• Produce high-quality code with appropriate test coverage.
• Perform constructive code reviews and collaborate with colleagues to enhance working practices.
• Take a proactive approach to solve platform and delivery pipeline issues, optimizing processes and platform stability.
• Stay current with technological developments in the industry and assess their relevance to the company.
• Share knowledge and apply it to improve hirify.global's systems and support colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in software engineering.
• Mandatory Java or Scala experience.
• Previous exposure to fintech or wealth management industry is a must.
• Familiarity with Git and experience performing code reviews.
• Understanding of microservices, different API styles, and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like Gitlab CI.
• Focus on testing and extraordinary attention to detail.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and their founding principles.
• Experience with regulated sectors and/or financial systems.
• Able to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• BSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science or higher degree.
• Typescript experience.
• Experience working with cloud providers (ideally AWS), Docker orchestrators (ideally Kubernetes), and event streaming systems (ideally Kafka).
• Ability to communicate in Italian.
