What you will do

• Design, build, and ship production-grade data services, pipelines, and models meeting performance, reliability, and security goals
• Lead team-level projects from design through rollout and operational hand-off
• Improve observability, testing, and incident response for the data stack
• Collaborate on architecture reviews and platform-wide standards
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to foster quality and ownership culture
• Stay current with evolving data engineering tools and introduce innovations

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work model based in Israel
• 5+ years in backend or data engineering with 2+ years senior experience delivering production systems
• Strong coding skills in Python, Kotlin, Java, or Scala with clean, testable code emphasis
• Experience designing and operating distributed data pipelines and storage (batch or streaming)
• Deep knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and at least one NoSQL or analytical store
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and data orchestration frameworks like Airflow
• Comfortable with CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Nice to have

• Experience with data governance, security/compliance-aware platforms
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience with data quality frameworks, lineage, or metadata tooling
