• Build data security, privacy, and governance tools in distributed cloud platform environments.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, application engineers, and AI researchers to develop automated data governance systems.
• Ship high-quality, secure, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Overcome roadblocks to deliver work quickly and iteratively to users.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based within commuting distance to New York office and work onsite at least four days per week
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 4+ years building scalable services on public cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• 3+ years collaborating with product, legal, and compliance teams to embed privacy-by-design and build automated governance mechanisms.
• 3+ years building data lineage tracking and compliance monitoring systems.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years experience or Bachelor’s with 12+ years experience.
