What you will do
- Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews, translating risks into development actions.
- Architect and maintain security tooling and integrations for secure development workflows.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Platform teams to build scalable security controls and CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and deploy automated security testing frameworks to identify vulnerabilities early.
- Serve as a hands-on contributor during security incidents and mentor junior engineers.
- Define and track security posture metrics and partner with teams to maintain security controls.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in the USA for remote work
- Proven experience in application security engineering in cloud-native environments.
- Hands-on with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST) and CI/CD security automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Expertise in web application security, threat modeling frameworks, and security architecture.
- Ability to investigate security events and collaborate cross-functionally.

- Experience in fast-paced or startup environments.
- Familiarity with AI/ML security concepts and commercial security tools.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks and vulnerability management.
