Senior Counsel, Commercial & Employment (Biotechnology)

Senior Counsel (Biotechnology): Advising hirify.global's EMEA teams on legal matters, supporting revenue growth, and ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions with an accent on commercial transactions, privacy, and regional employment law. Focus on structuring and negotiating SaaS agreements, mitigating legal risks, and guiding the business on complex employment law matters.

Location: Flexible hybrid work, on-site 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) in Zurich or London.

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of commercial contracts for EMEA operations, including drafting and negotiating SaaS agreements and partner agreements.
• Collaborate on and implement efficient, scalable, and localized contracting policies, practices, and processes.
• Apply sound judgment to assess and mitigate risks in commercial transactions, providing guidance to drive successful deal completion.
• Partner with global HR and business leaders on European employment law matters, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Maintain a working knowledge of relevant European privacy and data protection laws and advise on their implications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of general relevant legal experience, with at least 5 years in-house specifically focused on commercial enterprise SaaS transactions.
• Qualified attorney or solicitor (or EU equivalent) with experience in an English-speaking jurisdiction required.
• Proven ability to provide entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and business-oriented legal advice, balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and building strong, trusted partnerships.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to advocate without legalese.
• Highly organized, reliable, and diligent, with the ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously and set appropriate priorities.

• Experience supporting sales and go-to-market activities in biotech, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
• Experience navigating employment law across multiple European jurisdictions.
