What you will do

• Improve existing machine learning systems and recommendation algorithms.
• Identify new opportunities to apply machine learning across the Quora product.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to implement efficient algorithms and systems.
• Take end-to-end ownership of ML systems including data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, and production integration.

Requirements

• Availability during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
• 5+ years professional experience in machine learning software development.
• 3+ years experience with recommendation systems.
• Strong understanding of ML mathematical foundations and end-to-end system building.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

Nice to have

• 3+ years coding experience in Python or C++.
• Experience leading large-scale multi-engineer projects.
