Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Dublin, Sydney or remote from the USA.

Salary: $240,700–$360,900 USD per year, plus variable pay based on company performance.

What you will do

• Define and implement data science strategy aligned with business objectives (revenue growth, customer retention, operational efficiency).
• Establish an impact-driven prioritization framework and a comprehensive data science roadmap.
• Lead, manage, mentor, and grow a team of data scientists.
• Partner with product and go-to-market teams to embed predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Deploy and monitor machine learning models in production, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Serve as a strategic voice and partner for senior leaders, educating the business on best practices.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related field.
• 10+ years of extensive experience building and scaling a data science function in a high-growth environment.
• 10+ years of extensive experience managing data, analytics, and engineering teams with 10+ direct and indirect reports.
• 15+ years of extensive hands-on experience with a wide range of data science and machine learning techniques, including classification, regression, time series forecasting, natural language processing, and unsupervised learning.
• Experience leading go-to-market initiatives and partnering with product development teams.
• Experience with putting data science solutions in production and maintaining them.

Nice to have

• High level of business acumen (MBA, CFA, PMM).
• Experience in SaaS or legal industry.
• Experience with unstructured data and graph data structures.
