What you will do

• Design, build, document, and maintain complex server APIs (REST/GraphQL) and service-to-service communication.
• Develop and optimize backend server applications with a focus on scalability and security.
• Manage database solutions including relational, in-memory, and NoSQL databases.
• Deploy and manage applications on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement testing frameworks for unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with teams on a high-scale, unannounced game project.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Shanghai, China
• 8-10 years of software development experience, with 5+ years in backend server engineering.
• Expertise in server API design and backend languages (Python, Java, C++).
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, query optimization, and schema design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and deployment.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of networking, data storage, and security.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience in regulated or high-traffic environments (FinTech, e-commerce).
