Intern Software Development Engineer

TL;DR

Intern Software Development Engineer: Assisting with vulnerabilities remediation, building DevOps tooling, and developing product features for data marketplaces, mobile/web applications, and API services with an accent on improving product quality and time to market. Focus on learning Agile practices, participating in scrum events, and maintaining a production-first mindset.

Location: Hybrid in Irving, TX, United States, with 2 days a week in office. US work authorization required (no immigration sponsorship provided).

What you will do

• Attend and participate in scrum events.
• Assist with vulnerabilities remediation.
• Assist with building/improvement of DevOps tooling.
• Learn to develop product features for data marketplaces, mobile applications, web applications, and API services.
• Maintain a production-first mindset focused on scale, uptime, and rapid issue resolution.

Requirements

• Must be a student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics, with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship.
• Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) GPA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills.
• Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting.

Nice to have

• Junior or Senior classification preferred.
• Previous internships are considered a plus.
