Location: Mountain View, United States. Required to be local to the Seattle area and in office 3 days a week. Starting January 26, 2026, employees are expected to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days a week if they live within 50 miles (U.S.) of that location.

Salary: USD $163,000 – $296,400 per year (U.S. general) or USD $220,800 – $331,200 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).

• Work in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience (or Master’s Degree AND 10+ years, or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years’ experience building scalable services on top of public cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP, with extensive use of datastores.
• 8+ years’ experience building distributed systems at scale and extensive systems knowledge spanning bare-metal hosts to containers to networking.
• 6+ years people management experience.
• Experience working with AI platforms, frameworks, and APIs.
• Experience using, deploying, and scaling language learning models (LLMs), either personally or professionally.
