What you will do

• Define and embed reliability culture, standards, and practices across engineering teams
• Establish SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and resilience frameworks
• Design chaos experiments, redundancy, failover strategies, and stress testing at scale
• Lead incident response improvements and post-mortem culture
• Drive automation to eliminate operational toil and improve engineering focus
• Build and mentor a team of 2-4 SRE engineers

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid setup with regular travel to Berlin, Germany
• English: Required (job posting in English, level B2 assumed)
• Proven deep SRE experience in high-stakes environments such as fintech, payments, or mission-critical SaaS
• Hands-on expertise with SLOs, chaos engineering, observability, automation, and resilience architecture
• Strong leadership skills with ability to hire, mentor, and influence without authority

Nice to have

• Experience in investment or financial industry domain
• Familiarity with Golang, Kubernetes, GCP, Postgres, Kafka, or Datadog
