Location: Hybrid working model, based in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom.

What you will do

  • Produce accurate, timely portfolio-level reports, highlighting risks, issues, dependencies, and progress.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support to high-profile programmes, tracking milestones, budgets, and benefits.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate PMO processes, embedding best practice across teams.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, programme managers, and delivery teams, acting as a trusted advisor on PMO governance.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of portfolio, programme, and project management methodologies (Agile & Waterfall).
  • Experience in a PMO function within a fast-paced corporate environment (retail or financial services preferred).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

  • Resource management experience.
  • Power BI skills.
  • Professional qualifications (PRINCE2, MSP, P3O).

Hiring process

  • 1st stage: Informal 30-minute video call with the hiring team.
  • 2nd Stage: One-hour formal interview with competency and technical (task-based) questions, held in-person or remotely.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undertake credit, CIFAS, and Right to Work checks, and potentially a DBS check.
