Founding Engineer (DeFi Mobile)

TL;DR

Founding Engineer (DeFi/Web3): Designing, building, and maintaining production features for a high-growth DeFi mobile trading app with an accent on end-to-end feature ownership across mobile (Flutter) and backend (Go). Focus on rapid iteration, a security-first mindset, and designing robust, scalable features to shape the core user experience for millions.

Location: Remote (US), with required travel to NYC 2 weeks at a time, every 1-2 months for in-person collaboration.

Compensation: $200,000–$300,000

hirify.global is a rapidly growing mobile app known as the “Robinhood for DeFi” that enables users to trade cryptocurrencies on-chain through a user-friendly interface.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship delightful, high-impact features end-to-end across mobile (Flutter) and backend (Go).
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and growth teams for rapid prototyping, testing, and launching new ideas.
• Dive deep into user feedback and product analytics to continuously prioritize usability and performance.
• Own full-stack features, ensuring clean architecture and high performance across iOS and Android.
• Uphold engineering best practices, write high-quality code with strong test coverage, and foster a security-first culture.

Requirements

• Experience: 2–4+ years in Product Engineer or Design roles, preferably at high-growth mobile apps or in Web3/crypto.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to design and develop end-to-end features that are robust, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Product Sense: Deep knowledge of design systems and consumer behavior.
• DeFi Passion: Strong interest or experience in crypto/blockchain.
• Tech Stack Familiarity: Experience with or eagerness to learn our stack: Flutter, Go, Postgres, Kubernetes, and Solana.

Nice to have

• 2–4 years of experience working on consumer mobile apps, preferably financial apps.
• Previous experience at a company during a rapid growth phase (e.g., startup to mid-size).
• Hands-on experience with blockchain technologies (e.g., Solana, Ethereum, L2s).
• Expertise in designing and implementing robust security architectures and protocols.
