Location: Remote across Europe with offices in Berlin, Germany, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Ireland, and the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Define and own the company’s IT and security strategy, including compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR.
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, lead incident response, and develop disaster recovery plans.
• Build and manage internal IT infrastructure, policies, and support functions from scratch.
• Lead risk management and governance practices to ensure operational continuity and scalability.
• Advise executive leadership on IT, security, and compliance, focusing on AI and automation technologies.
• Hire and develop a high-performing IT & Security team, setting OKRs and KPIs.

Requirements

• Proven leadership in IT functions within high-growth, cloud-native environments
• Expertise in security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
• Strong risk management and resilience mindset
• Hands-on experience with SaaS ecosystems, endpoint protection, and IT infrastructure
• Strategic partnership skills for complex, fast-scaling environments
• English language proficiency (company language is English)

Nice to have

• Experience supporting remote-first distributed teams across multiple time zones
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure
• Understanding of DevSecOps and secure CI/CD pipelines
• Enthusiasm and experience with AI tools and internally hosted LLMs
