• Lead and guide the team to build a highly scalable, performant, and extensible storage foundation for the governance platform.
• Make critical long-term technical architecture decisions balancing product roadmap priorities.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable infrastructure services with robust SLAs, testing, and monitoring.
• Recruit, hire, and coach top-tier engineering talent to build a synergistic and effective team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and infrastructure teams to align strategy and execution.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in Mountain View, California, USA
• 5+ years experience building database, storage, distributed, or large-scale backend systems.
• At least 3 years managing top-tier engineering teams and scaling teams from 5 to 20+ engineers.
• BS in Computer Science or higher education preferred.
• Proven ability to define and meet SLOs for highly available systems.
• Experience attracting, hiring, and coaching engineers to meet high hiring standards.
