What you will do

• Deliver and support the Content and Video platform, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Content teams.
• Plan and execute iterative delivery in a data-driven environment, adopting XP practices like TDD and CI/CD.
• Release and support with operational excellence, incorporating observability and progressive rollouts.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and resolve obstacles.
• Advocate for and implement best engineering practices, fostering a learning culture and contributing to strategic technical decisions.
• Collaborate on designing reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems for millions of users worldwide.

Requirements

• Product Mindset: Proven ability to translate user needs into impactful features with a strong focus on delivering value.
• Strong experience designing and building scalable backend systems in Python with a solid understanding of API design and system architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud services, especially AWS (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation).
• Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres and familiarity with SQLAlchemy or other ORMs.
• Ability to help improve team workflows and elevate code quality by contributing to shared practices.
• End-to-end ownership and high agency when dealing with ambiguity, thriving in complex problem-solving.
• Strong English communication skills to work effectively with an international, agile team.
