What you will do

• Work closely with Epic Art Leads and Project Art Director to support external vendors.
• Communicate the art direction vision to vendors and ensure consistent, high-quality art.
• Create various concept designs for environments, characters, and FX within the Fortnite ecosystem.
• Collect or generate detailed documentation, video reference, and examples of art asset production for external vendors.
• Make any needed fixes to keep assets consistent and technically game-ready.
• Clearly communicate feedback to outsource partners and ensure creative notes and goals are met.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating a range of styles, creativity, and craftsmanship in visual development (environments, characters, FX) with strong world-building visuals.
• A keen eye for anatomy, design, color theory, composition, and FX.
• Experience working on at least one AAA game in a Senior Concept Artist role.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to accurately estimate tasks and maintain schedules.
• Understanding of other game art disciplines, their workflows, and limitations.

Nice to have

• Fluency in a language other than English, including Chinese, German, Spanish, Italian, or Russian.
