What you will do

• Monitor regulatory developments and maintain active relationships with policymakers and regulators in West Africa.
• Represent the company in consultations, workshops, industry roundtables, and regulatory dialogues.
• Lead or support licensing applications and conduct structured assessments on regional operational requirements.
• Provide actionable risk and regulatory insights to internal stakeholders across various teams.
• Support enterprise-level planning for new products or expansions, advising on regulatory constraints and enablers.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of governmental affairs, regulatory affairs, or legal experience, ideally within the financial services or crypto-asset industry.
• Experience in Ghana or Nigeria is ideal.
• Proven experience engaging with regulators or government bodies, advocating and advising in a regulatory capacity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex regulatory topics for non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across borders and time zones.
• English: Excellent communication skills required.
