DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer: Responsible for managing and improving the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and production reliability of an Adtech solution with an accent on AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and observability tools. Focus on designing scalable, secure cloud platforms, troubleshooting complex distributed systems, and applying SRE principles to enhance platform stability and developer experience.

Location: Hybrid in Hamburg, Germany (working from home on Mondays & Fridays, office on Tuesday to Thursday)

What you will do

• Manage and improve AWS multi-account, multi-region infrastructure using Terraform, EKS, and related cloud services.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems and apply SRE principles for root cause analysis and reliability improvements.
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for services.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to maintain a scalable and secure cloud platform.
• Continuously enhance tooling, automation, and operational workflows to improve developer experience and deployment safety.
• Stay updated with DevOps and cloud-native ecosystem trends to elevate team knowledge and practices.

Requirements

• Location: Must work hybrid in Hamburg, Germany with office presence Tuesday to Thursday.
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD pipelines, and automation scripting (Python, Go, Bash).
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Loki, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
• Good communication skills and ability to document and support decisions clearly.
• English: Proficient (B2 level or higher).

Nice to have

• Experience with incident response and production reliability improvements.
• Knowledge of SLI/SLO concepts and monitoring to alerting transformations.
