Product Owner

TL;DR

Product Owner: Driving the development of the Ascend Sandbox Product backlog within a fast-paced product team with an accent on maintaining existing features and scaling new cutting-edge technology. Focus on collaborating with Product Managers and Software Engineers to define Epics and User Stories, prioritize backlog, and ensure quality delivery through agile ceremonies.

Location: Hybrid based in Nottingham

What you will do

• Drive the agile team to develop quality solutions and deliver business value.
• Support and enhance the full product lifecycle through effective collaboration.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to create and break down Epics into User Stories.
• Define the Definition of Done, set quality acceptance criteria, and ensure team adherence.
• Lead refinement and pointing sessions, and manage backlog prioritization.
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies like big room planning, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Product Owner or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with the full development lifecycle and Agile ceremonies.
• Strong knowledge of JIRA and working knowledge of AHA.
• Ability to write clear Epics and User Stories with appropriate acceptance criteria.
• Strong communication skills to explain solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively with offshore teams from diverse cultures.
