TL;DR

Product Designer (AI): Designing end-to-end user experiences for AI features within a biotechnology R&D cloud platform with an accent on defining product strategy, scope, and prioritization. Focus on prototyping ideas quickly, conducting user research to inform product direction, and contributing to evolving design systems.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA. Employees are expected to be on-site 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).

Salary: $170,000 - $230,000 base salary range.

What you will do

• Define product strategy, scope, and prioritization with Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Own end-to-end design for high-impact initiatives from research, concepts, wireframing, mockups, through to implementation.
• Work in real time with Engineers to prototype ideas quickly to validate product directions.
• Conduct user research and interviews to inform product direction and interactive improvements.
• Use and contribute to evolving Design systems by collaborating with other Designers.
• Clearly communicate design rationale to cross-functional teams and leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience driving the design of SaaS, mobile, or AI products.
• A strong portfolio of relevant design work that conveys ability to design for powerful functionality, growth, and conversion.
• Track record of working with and simplifying complex product architectures or workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain the reasoning behind complex decisions.
• Experience contributing to a design system for complex software products.
• Experience working with Product Management, Engineers, and fellow Designers in an agile environment.
