Data Engineer

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Design scalable, efficient, and highly available technical solutions for business needs.
• Write clean, reusable code with unit tests and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with data science teams to develop and maintain deployment frameworks for data science solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and production troubleshooting alongside operations and release teams.
• Work as part of a scrum team and stay updated with coding standards and technologies.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Belgrade, Serbia
• English: Fluent verbal and written
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of software development experience with object-oriented languages (Python, C#, Java, C++).
• Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, algorithms, relational databases, Git, and REST API development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python and async frameworks.
• Experience with concurrent and parallel programming.
• Familiarity with Linux platform and network protocols.
• Experience designing high-throughput distributed services, queuing solutions, non-relational databases, caching, ETL processes, and AWS.
