What you will do

• Advocate for the Android platform to solve complex user experience challenges with native solutions.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers across hirify.global to deliver high-quality UI patterns and experiences.
• Introduce industry best practices and AI tools to improve development efficiency and product quality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software design principles.
• Mentor and guide engineers to uphold quality standards and foster continuous learning.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production software projects.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite in Chicago or Austin, United States
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 6+ to 8+ years of professional experience.
• Deep expertise in Android ecosystem including Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android Studio.
• Experience in technical leadership and mentoring.
• Proficient communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Git and GitHub ecosystem including GitHub Actions.

• Experience contributing to or using a design system.
• Expertise in sophisticated UI interactions, animations, and transitions on Android.
• Passion for building accessible and inclusive user interfaces.
• Experience with UI testing frameworks like Espresso or Robolectric.
