What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Clojure and Go
• Lead small feature teams through planning, execution, and delivery
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge across the team
• Make architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technical direction
• Improve observability, performance, and security of backend services
• Participate in on-call rotation and raise operational standards

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States
• Significant experience building and operating backend systems in production
• Strong programming skills in Clojure and experience with Go or similar languages
• Experience designing and maintaining distributed systems or microservices
• Strong understanding of cloud native systems (AWS or GCP), APIs, and data stores
• Excellent communication skills in a remote, asynchronous environment
