Location: This is a hybrid role based in Redmond, United States. Employees living within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. are expected to work from the office at least four days per week starting January 26, 2026.

Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year (U.S. generally); USD $158,400 – $258,000 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for advertising solutions.
• Design and optimize Ad SDK components, particularly for browsers using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Implement, optimize, debug, and refactor code to enhance performance and maintainability.
• Drive project and release plans in partnership with project managers.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and provide guidance to other engineers.
• Proactively explore new trends and technical solutions to improve product availability, reliability, and performance at scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Solid understanding of browser internals, rendering pipelines, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience building SDKs or developer tools for large-scale platforms.
• Familiarity with ad-serving technologies and integration patterns.
• Solid understanding of security, compliance, and performance best practices in browser-based environments.
• Ability to commute to a Microsoft office at least four days per week if living within a 50-mile radius in the U.S.
