Salary: $247,260–$291,720 USD annually

What you will do

• Provide timely and practical legal advice to law enforcement and safety teams on complex safety and legal matters.
• Advise on the scope and legal sufficiency of safety-related investigations ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
• Support law enforcement response including subpoenas, search warrants, and court orders under U.S. and international laws.
• Develop and update internal policies, procedures, and training materials related to legal processes and user safety incidents.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Privacy, Trust & Safety, Public Policy, Litigation, and Product teams.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks related to platform content, user conduct, and emergency safety threats.

Requirements

• Location: Must be onsite at hirify.global Headquarters in San Mateo, CA
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience with focus on investigations and technology company advisory.
• Expertise in the U.S. Stored Communications Act and international laws on electronic evidence and privacy.
• Proven experience in guiding sensitive user safety and platform integrity investigations.
• Member in good standing of the California Bar or ability to register as in-house counsel in California.
• Excellent judgment, communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
