What you will do

• Write scalable, maintainable, and shippable code for customer problems.
• Collaborate with fellow Applied Scientists, Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Customers.
• Design and automate statistically sound experiments into reusable benchmarks.
• Rapidly prototype and productionize AI- and ML-powered models.
• Select appropriate modeling techniques, from decision trees to frontier LLMs.
• Ground work in evidence while remaining open to change and new ideas.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of professional experience in ML, Applied Science, or a closely related area.
• Hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math) OR equivalent professional experience.
• Proven ability to prototype quickly and simplify for production.
• Comfortable reading and applying research, with a skeptical approach to validating results.
• Experienced with a range of modeling techniques, from classic ML to large-scale generative models.
• Familiar with modern MLOps tooling (e.g., containers, workflow orchestration, telemetry, deployment patterns and experimentation).
• Strong Python programming skills, experienced in data and machine learning libraries (e.g., numpy, pytorch, scikit-learn, pyspark).
• Capable communicator, able to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
