What you will do

  • Design and implement scalable, cloud-native backend services in Java.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers during planning, technical discussions, and code reviews.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of features from design to deployment with autonomy.
  • Analyze product requirements and propose implementation strategies.
  • Write and maintain automated tests at multiple levels to ensure product quality.

Requirements

  • English: B2 level or higher required
  • 5+ years experience building scalable, reliable backend systems using Java, preferably on GCP or other cloud platforms
  • Experience with containerized or serverless components in distributed systems.
  • Proficiency with SQL (OLAP and OLTP) and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with Python and strong testing mindset (unit, integration, contract, E2E tests).
