What you will do

• Design and develop features for the web-based fiber management platform, enabling customers to manage broadband networks.
• Work on technically challenging GIS-based systems, including state-of-the-art tile servers, fiber network models, and interactive maps.
• Develop web services to extend the hirify.global platform for integration with other critical systems.
• Support production systems by triaging bugs, addressing application performance issues, and participating in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 3+ years development and shipping cloud-native applications and platform services to production.
• 2+ years experience working with contemporary Javascript frameworks (e.g., Vue, React) or similar.
• 3+ years experience working with large relational datasets.
• Solid understanding of cloud services and their best practices (AWS preferred).
• Ability to break down product requirements into deliverable software.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.

Nice to have

• Experience with spatial data (for example via PostGIS).
• Experience with real-time data streaming.
• Knowledge of how and when to use various persistent and ephemeral data storage technologies.
• An understanding of frontend mapping technologies (Leaflet, MapboxGL.js).
• Effective working within Agile Development Methodologies.
