Senior Software Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (AI, Fullstack): Building and optimizing consumer-facing search-powered experiences for Bing's user base with an accent on scalable, resilient service delivery and data-driven decision making. Focus on designing highly performant web services, integrating AI trends, and driving end-to-end feature development within an agile team.

Location: Hybrid, must be based within a 25-mile commute of the Barcelona office in Spain, working onsite at least four days per week starting January 26, 2026.

What you will do

• Deliver and maintain scalable, resilient services that power Search experiences across platforms.
• Drive end-to-end feature development and partner closely with Product Management, Design, Privacy, and Legal.
• Participate in design and code reviews, contributing to the development of a clean, well-documented codebase.
• Run A/B experiments and analyze results to make data-driven decisions.
• Proactively seek new knowledge on the latest AI trends to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
• Solid technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable web services.
• Demonstrable history of excellent analytical and data-driven decision making.
• Work from the office at least four days per week in Barcelona, Spain.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
• Expertise in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and ReactJS.
• Passion for continuous learning and applying learning to drive business improvements.
