Senior Consulting Engineer

Senior Consulting Engineer (System Engineering): Provide consultative support and engineering services to enterprise customers, focusing on database management systems, cloud platforms, and distributed systems. What you will do

• Participate in customer projects involving design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation.
• Provide consultative support for strategic customers including onboarding, production launches, and POCs.
• Assist with support cases across L1 to L3 tiers and technical oversight.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales to influence product roadmap and account plans.
• Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and learning materials.
• Mentor new team members and participate in hiring processes.
• Be available for scheduling and on-call support with up to 35% regional onsite travel.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of experience in professional services, support, engineering, or project management roles.
• Experience with scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems.
• Technical expertise in DBMS, OLAP, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to lead large technical projects collaboratively.
• Ability to work remotely in a globally distributed team.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global database.
• Familiarity with open-source technologies and communities.
• Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, RabbitMQ.
